Graduates earn 1,009 degrees, certificates from Mercer County Community College


About 29.9 percent of the 1,009 degrees and certificates handed out by the Mercer County Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Windsor conferred 302 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 302 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 134 associate's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 100 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

The college enrolled 7,560 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
