Cost of college went up for all students at Monmouth County Vocational School District


Tuition and fees rose 5.9 percent for 2017-18 at Monmouth County Vocational School District, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

New Jersey students paid $9,000 to attend the public school this year $500 more than the $8,500 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 54 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 47 students received grants or scholarships totaling $190,286 and 37 students took out student loans totaling more than $99,348.

Including all undergraduates, 48 students used grants or scholarships totaling $214,240. Another 37 took out $99,348 in federal student loans.
