3.8 percent of New Jersey Institute of Technology students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 3.8 percentage of New Jersey Institute of Technology students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

New Jersey Institute of Technology has 8,483 undergraduate students, of which 74 percent are men and 26 percent are women, and a total student body of 11,446 students. Of these students, 272 men and 162 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at New Jersey Institute of Technology with the most participants are all track combined (183), soccer (56) and fencing (33).
