Graduates earn 3,118 degrees from Rutgers University-Newark


About 47.2 percent of the 3,118 degrees and certificates handed out by Rutgers University-Newark in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Newark conferred 781 master's degrees and 646 bachelor's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 458 master's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 213 bachelor's degrees in general psychology and 208 bachelor's degrees in accounting.

The university enrolled 12,768 students for 2017-18, including 8,551 in undergraduate programs and 4,217 in graduate programs.
