Graduates earn 5,444 degrees, certificates from Montclair State University


About 17.4 percent of the 5,444 degrees and certificates handed out by Montclair State University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Montclair conferred 742 bachelor's degrees and 172 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 630 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 421 bachelor's degrees in general psychology and 272 bachelor's degrees in general family and consumer sciences/human sciences.

The university enrolled 21,013 students for 2017-18, including 16,852 in undergraduate programs and 4,161 in graduate programs.
