1.6 percent of Rutgers University-New Brunswick students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018


In 2017-2018, 1.6 percent of Rutgers University-New Brunswick students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Rutgers University-New Brunswick has 36,039 undergraduate students, of which 50 percent are men and 50 percent are women, and a total student body of 50,254 students. Of these students, 403 men and 403 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.
