For the four weeks ending November 22, 2025, U.S. private employers added an average of 4,750 jobs per week, according to preliminary data from the NER Pulse. The NER Pulse is a weekly update of the monthly ADP National Employment Report (NER), produced by ADP Research in collaboration with the Stanford Digital Economy Lab.
ADP Research publishes these preliminary estimates three times each month. The figures are based on high-frequency data that is seasonally adjusted and published with a two-week lag. The report uses a four-week moving average to show changes in U.S. employment on a week-over-week basis.
The NER Pulse is released every Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. Eastern Time except during weeks when the full NER is published. It includes twelve weeks of historical data and can be accessed shortly after release time on Main Street Macro and the ADP Media Center.
The preliminary numbers from the NER Pulse may change as more data becomes available.
ADP Research describes its mission as follows: “The mission of ADP Research is to make the future of work more productive through data-driven discovery. Companies, workers, and policy makers rely on our finely tuned data and unique perspective to make informed decisions that impact workplaces around the world.”
