Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III attended reorganization ceremonies in Bergenfield and Bogota on January 1, 2026. The events marked the swearing-in of newly elected and re-elected council members in both boroughs.

In Bergenfield, Tedesco administered the oath of office to Council Member Buddy Deauna after his re-election and congratulated Council Member Ora Kornbluth on her own re-election and swearing-in. In Bogota, he offered congratulations to Council Members Patrick McHale and John Mitchell as they were sworn into their positions.

During the ceremonies, Tedesco presented Certificates of Commendation to each council member to acknowledge their service to their communities. He also spoke about the importance of cooperation between county government and local municipalities.
