The Elite 8 round of voting for The Coolest Thing Made in New Jersey contest opened on Apr. 8, with more than 50,000 votes already cast, according to organizers. The competition is part of Manufacturing Counts, a partnership between the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) and the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program to promote awareness of manufacturing across the state.
The contest highlights innovative products made by local businesses and aims to increase public recognition of the manufacturing sector’s role in New Jersey’s economy. Voting for this round will remain open until 11:59 p.m., EST, on Monday, April 13.
In this Elite Round of eight products, companies are paired head-to-head: L&R Manufacturing Company’s SweepZone Ultrasonic Cleaning System faces ADM Tronics’ Vet-Sonotron; Switlik Survival Products’ Anti-Gravity Suit competes against SeaBox’s ISO Containerized Arctic-Grade Mobile Laboratory and Shelter; Orgo-Thermit Inc.’s Thermit Welding Kit is matched with Hilman Inc.’s TK-EVO battery-powered crawler; and Galileo Global Environmental Solutions’ Brewster System goes up against BrukerEST’s Superconductor product.
The winner will be announced at the State of the State of Manufacturing event scheduled for May 21 in Trenton. They will receive an award as well as coverage in upcoming issues of New Jersey Business Magazine and Manufacturing Matters Magazine.
