Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation has been named a High Performer for 2025 by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), an organization recognized as a leading authority in health care fundraising. This designation is given to organizations that rank in the top 25 percent for net fundraising revenue across the United States and Canada.

The recognition highlights Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation’s efforts in raising funds to support patient care, research, and medical education. The foundation credits its success to a strong culture of philanthropy and the commitment of its donors and staff.

“We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition from the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy,” said Bob Garrett, CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our philanthropy team, the unwavering support of our leadership and the profound generosity of our donors. In a time of significant transformation in health care, philanthropy is the catalyst that allows us to innovate and provide the highest quality of care to our communities. This recognition fuels our commitment to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in medicine.”

AHP offers benchmarking services so health care organizations can compare their fundraising performance with others in the industry.

“To be recognized as a high-performing organization by the AHP is a tremendous honor and a direct reflection of the trust our donors place in us,” said Joyce P. Hendricks, president and chief development officer at Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation. “Our donors are our partners in our mission to improve lives, and this achievement is a shared success. It is their belief in our vision that empowers our physicians, researchers and care teams to deliver exceptional and compassionate care every day. We are immensely grateful for their partnership and inspired to reach even greater heights in the coming year.”

The foundation’s ongoing Be The Difference campaign was launched in September 2024 with a goal to raise $1 billion. The campaign aims to enhance patient care delivery, promote research, expand access to care, support nursing professionals, and transform medical education.
