The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Women’s & Young Workers Department has opened registration for two leadership programs scheduled for March 2026. The Women’s Leadership Program will be held from March 1 to 6, followed by the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program from March 15 to 20. Both sessions will take place at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

According to IAM, the Women’s Leadership Program aims to encourage union members to take active roles within their locals and districts. The program focuses on building leadership skills in organizing, parliamentary procedure, political and legislative involvement, strategic planning, and network building.

For those who have already completed the initial course, the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program offers an opportunity to further develop these competencies. Participants in this advanced session will expand on previous learning while strengthening key leadership skills.

“IAM sisters are equipped with the tools and confidence needed to lead effectively at every level of the union and to strengthen solidarity across our membership,” states the organization.

The official call letter provides details about tuition, transportation, and curriculum. Registration is required through the Departmental Program Registration Form.

Deadlines are approaching: January 21, 2026 for the Women’s Leadership Program and February 11, 2026 for the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program.

Members seeking more information or needing assistance can contact the IAM Women’s & Young Workers Department at 301-967-4747. The department encourages eligible members to participate in these educational opportunities as part of ongoing efforts toward a stronger and more inclusive union.
