The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) is inviting locals and districts to honor members who have died due to work-related causes by purchasing personalized bricks for the IAM Workers Memorial. The memorial, located at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland, was completed in 2001 and serves as a tribute to workers who lost their lives on the job.

The deadline to order a personalized brick is Sunday, March 1, 2026. Options include a $100 brick with three lines of text (up to 20 characters per line), a $125 brick with three lines of up to 15 characters and the IAM logo, or an 8×8 brick for $200 that allows more text or an additional logo. A commemorative tile can also be purchased for $10.

“If your local has a member who lost their life on the job or due to work-related causes, a complimentary brick will be placed in their honor. To request a complimentary brick, please submit the completed order form.”

Each year, IAM holds a ceremony at the memorial to remember those lost and renew efforts toward workplace safety. The date for this year’s event will be announced soon.

For further details or to place an order, individuals are directed to use the provided forms.
