MarketFair, a shopping center in Princeton, announced on Mar. 9 a $5 million capital investment as part of its multi-year growth strategy, which includes bringing more than 41,000 square feet of new local and national retail and dining brands to the property. The center is adding tenants such as OFFLINE by Aerie, Kohler, LaScala’s Fire, Warby Parker, and Sweetgreen.

The announcement highlights MarketFair’s efforts to strengthen its position as a leading shopping and dining destination in the region. The addition of both local and national brands is intended to appeal to a wide range of consumers.

Nikki Columbo, senior vice president at Centennial Real Estate, said, “MarketFair’s leasing momentum is driven by a forward-thinking strategy centered on quality, curation and market relevance. By attracting an exceptional mix of well-known local and national brands, we’re elevating MarketFair’s role as a leading lifestyle destination in one of New Jersey’s most thriving and affluent markets.”

Recent upgrades at MarketFair include modernization of the south end corridor and main south exterior entrance. Eddie V’s Prime Seafood opened there in June 2025. Other improvements include green wall installations, skylights, upgraded furnishings and finishes, new branded monument signage outside the building, curb access enhancements, ADA improvements for accessibility, energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems. Additional interior seating areas with plants are planned for 2026.

MarketFair is owned by Nuveen Real Estate and managed by Centennial Real Estate. The ongoing investment reflects their commitment to offering a balanced mix of retail and dining options that align with changing consumer preferences.

Looking ahead, MarketFair plans further enhancements as it continues to attract new tenants.
