New Jersey Innovation Institute honored again as NJBIZ Empowering Women honoree

For the third consecutive year, the New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) has been named a 2025 Empowering Women honoree by NJBIZ. The annual award recognizes organizations in New Jersey that have shown a strong and ongoing commitment to supporting women in the workplace.

The NJBIZ Empowering Women Awards program highlights over 40 companies for their efforts to advance women’s roles in professional and community environments. NJII is included among these organizations, reflecting its dedication to building an inclusive environment for women’s growth and leadership.

“Our approach to championing women is rooted in our commitment to diversity, recognizing that a diverse workforce fuels innovation. By fostering a sense of belonging across the organization, we’ve cultivated a team that is 57% female this is a testament to our ongoing work to elevate women throughout New Jersey Innovation Institute,” the organization stated.

A key initiative at NJII is its Women’s Leadership Program, which focuses on personal and professional development for women. According to NJII, “At the forefront of these efforts is the Women’s Leadership Program, a program designed to inspire and advance women through personal and professional development. This initiative strengthens leadership skills that benefit not just NJII, but the communities we serve.”

NJII also participates in philanthropic and community outreach activities aimed at empowering women and addressing social disparities. “Beyond our internal programs, NJII remains engaged in philanthropic and community outreach efforts aimed at empowering women and addressing social disparities. Through these initiatives, we work to create more equitable opportunities both within our organization and across New Jersey,” according to their statement.

Honorees were chosen by an independent panel of judges who recognized organizations for their efforts in recruiting, retaining, promoting women, providing mentorship opportunities, advocating for equity, and supporting philanthropic initiatives benefiting women.
