NJBIA Vice President of Government Affairs Althea D. Ford will deliver the keynote address at Berkeley College’s 14th Annual Women’s History Month celebration. The event aims to bring together women and men to recognize the importance of community, unity, and collective progress.

The celebration is scheduled for Monday, March 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Berkeley College’s Woodland Park Campus located at 44 Rifle Camp Road. The event is open to faculty, staff, students, and members of the wider community.

This year’s theme is “Moving Forward Together Positively: Continuing the Conversation.” Organizers say it builds on last year’s momentum by encouraging dialogue among leaders in government and the community from diverse backgrounds.

Panelists include Orlando Cruz, Deputy Director of the Passaic County Board of Commissioners and President of the Greater Paterson Chamber of Commerce; Cassandra “Sandi” Lazara, Director of the Passaic County Board of Commissioners; Michael Melham, Mayor of Belleville; Christina Schratz, Passaic County Commissioner; and Howard Haughton, CEO of Eva’s Village—a nonprofit organization supporting individuals facing food insecurity, homelessness, substance use disorders, and mental health challenges.
