Association Business Solutions (ABS) has joined Porzio Governmental Affairs (PGA), marking an expansion of PGA’s Association Management practice. This move is intended to enhance the services provided to nonprofit and association clients throughout New Jersey. The integration also coincides with the introduction of a new brand identity for PGA, which aims to reflect the firm’s ongoing development and broader service offerings.

ABS, established in 2003, is known for its work in association management, government relations, and event planning for nonprofits across the state. With this integration, PGA increases its focus on associations while ABS clients gain access to additional advocacy and governmental affairs resources through PGA. Porzio Governmental Affairs operates as a subsidiary of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C.

Paula Harrington and Karla Pollack, founders of ABS, have taken on roles as senior director and director at PGA. They will continue leading the Association Management practice and maintain direct relationships with existing clients.

“We are incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the past 22 years and grateful for the amazing community of colleagues and clients who have been part of our journey,” said Harrington. “Joining PGA allows us to expand our capabilities and bring even greater value to the associations we serve, while preserving the relationships and expertise our clients depend on.”

Pollack added: “Our clients will continue working with the same dedicated team they know and trust—now with access to broader resources and expanded services. We love our history and are very excited about this next chapter as part of the Porzio family.”

Sal M. Anderton, general counsel at PGA, commented: “We’re excited to welcome Paula, Karla, and the entire ABS team to Porzio Governmental Affairs and to launch our Association Management practice. As we unveil PGA’s refreshed brand, this integration underscores our continued growth and our commitment to delivering comprehensive, forward-thinking solutions for associations and nonprofits. Their outstanding reputation in association management and deep relationships within New Jersey’s nonprofit community align perfectly with our commitment to delivering exceptional client service.”

The combined entity will offer enhanced services by merging ABS’s experience in association management with PGA’s resources in advocacy, government relations, and policy work. Clients from both organizations are expected to benefit from increased support while maintaining continuity in their professional relationships.

The transition is designed so that there will be no interruption in service or change in commitment levels for current clients.
