Prager Metis CPAs, an accounting and advisory firm with a presence in North America, Europe, and Asia, has announced changes to its executive leadership. Lori A. Roth has been appointed as chief executive officer, while Stuart H. Mayer will serve as chief operating officer.

Roth currently chairs the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA). In her new role at Prager Metis, she will lead more than 100 partners and principals along with 600 team members. Her responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s growth strategy and initiatives, developing strategic goals and policies, monitoring performance, and driving business expansion. Roth previously held positions as Global Managing Partner and Executive Committee member at the firm.

Mayer’s appointment as COO places him in charge of daily operations across Prager Metis. He is tasked with ensuring that strategic plans are implemented effectively and improving workflows, service delivery, and internal systems to boost productivity and profitability. Mayer formerly served as Northeast Regional Managing Partner and was also part of the Executive Committee.

“With this leadership team in place, we are well-positioned to execute our long-term strategy and elevate our operational capabilities,” said Glenn Friedman, chairman of the board. “Both Lori and Stu’s leadership have been central to our firm’s growth, and we are confident they will guide Prager Metis into our next chapter with clarity, discipline, and vision.”

“I’m honored to step into this role and build on the strong foundation we’ve created together,” said Roth. “Our success has always come from our team and our commitment to delivering exceptional value to clients. I’m excited to lead Prager Metis into our next phase of growth.”

“I’m energized to step into the COO role at such a pivotal moment for Prager Metis,” said Mayer. “Lori’s vision for our future is inspiring, and I’m committed to ensuring our operations continue to empower our people and elevate the client experience. Together, we will strengthen our foundation, enhance our capabilities, and drive the firm toward new opportunities for growth.”
