Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is organizing two information sessions in February and March for adults aged 25 and older who are considering starting college, returning to complete a degree, changing careers, seeking professional development, or improving their English skills.

The Adult Learning Information Sessions will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18 and Wednesday, March 18 at the Atrium on RVCC’s Branchburg campus at 118 Lamington Road. Those interested can register for either session at raritanval.edu/visit.

The sessions will provide details about academic and certificate programs, the application process for RVCC, learning options and support services designed for non-traditional students, financial aid resources, and methods to pay for college.

Veterans are encouraged to attend an information session to learn how they can use education benefits at RVCC. The manager of International and Veteran Services will be available to answer questions from prospective students.

To accommodate those balancing work, family, and other responsibilities, RVCC offers semester lengths of 14 weeks (full-term), 12 weeks, 10 weeks, and seven weeks (for some programs). Adult learners may enroll in career training programs as well as certificate or degree tracks.

Programs that may interest adult students include Advanced Manufacturing (with OSHA 10 and NIMS certification), Business Administration (Associate of Science), Business Management (Associate of Applied Science), Electrocardiograph Technician Certificate, English as a Second Language, Fitness Specialist Certificate, Medical Assistant Certificate, Nursing/RN (Associate of Applied Science), Occupational Therapy Assistant (Associate of Applied Science), Paralegal Studies (Associate of Applied Science or Certificate), Supply Chain Management (multiple credentials), and Welding Certificate.
