Regional Plan Association to honor local leaders at annual New Jersey reception

The Regional Plan Association (RPA) will hold its annual New Jersey Reception on Thursday, February 26 at the Newark Museum of Art. The event will honor several individuals and groups for their contributions to the state.

Hudson County Executive Craig Guy will receive the Governor James J. Florio Leadership Award. Bob Carrigan, CEO of Audible, will be presented with the Community Builder Award. In addition, the bipartisan Raritan Valley Line Mayors’ Alliance will be recognized for its ongoing advocacy on behalf of New Jersey transit riders.

RPA is an independent nonprofit civic organization focused on improving economic health, environmental resiliency, equity, and quality of life in the New York metropolitan area. The group conducts research related to the environment, land use, and governance and provides advice to cities, communities, and public agencies.
