RWJBarnabas Health collaborated with local organizations this holiday season to provide support for people in need across several New Jersey counties. The health system donated nearly 1,000 coats as well as hundreds of toys, cold-weather clothing, toiletries, turkeys, chickens and nutritious food. These donations were distributed through partner Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), community-based groups and civic associations in Essex, Union, Hudson and Monmouth counties.

Highlights from the effort included a coat drive with Saint James Health and Brach Eichler, LLC in Newark and a combined coat and toy drive with Monmouth Family Health Center in Long Branch.

In a statement from RWJBarnabas Health: “Thank you to everyone who gave their time and generosity. Wishing our communities a safe, healthy and happy holiday season.”
