Glenn Miller, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at RWJBarnabas Health, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP). In this new role, Miller will join other professionals in advancing healthcare through philanthropic efforts.

During his time at RWJBarnabas Health, Miller has overseen development strategies that have resulted in raising over $800 million. These funds have supported various initiatives, including capital investments and the establishment of new facilities such as the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center and the Melchiorre Cancer Center. Notably, he played a role in securing a $100 million donation for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, which was the largest gift ever made to a hospital in New Jersey.

Alice Ayres, President and CEO of AHP, commented on Miller’s appointment: “We are honored to welcome Glenn to the AHP Board. As we continue to support and elevate development professionals across the industry, Glenn’s insight and his more than three decades of experience will be invaluable.”

Miller’s responsibilities as Director will include helping guide AHP’s strategic direction and promoting engagement within its global network. He currently leads all philanthropic activities at RWJBarnabas Health, raising more than $75 million each year.

He has received recognition from organizations such as the Association of Fundraising Professionals with the Robert J. Smythe Award and has presented at national conferences. Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University.

RWJBarnabas Health is recognized as New Jersey’s largest academic health system, serving over five million people annually through 14 hospitals and more than 700 patient care locations. The organization is also one of New Jersey’s largest private employers with over 45,000 employees and contributes more than $7 billion to the state economy each year. The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy represents over 7,500 members who raise funds for hospitals and health systems worldwide. Additional details about AHP’s leadership are available at www.ahp.org/about-AHP/leadership.
