Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, part of RWJBarnabas Health, will host its annual Breast Cancer Awareness Symposium on October 28 at Bridgewater Manor from 5 to 8 p.m.
The event will feature Elissa Kalver, a Stage IV metastatic breast cancer survivor, author, and founder of WeGotThis.org, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Lue will discuss topics including risk factors for breast cancer, prevention strategies, the significance of screening mammograms, and available treatment options.
“Live Your Best Life… Embracing Joy, Purpose and Possibility,” will be the theme of the program. “We Got This. How I Learned to Thrive With Terminal Cancer,” Kalver’s book, will be given to all attendees, who can also participate in a book signing session following the program.
