Seton Hall University has opened nominations for the Twenty-Second Annual Student Servant Leader Awards, which will be presented on April 14, 2026. The awards aim to recognize students who demonstrate servant leadership both within and outside the university community.

According to the announcement, “The purpose of the Student Servant Leader Awards is to honor students who exemplify the ideals of servant leadership, both on and off campus.”

Servant leaders are described as individuals whose approach to leadership is rooted in serving others, making service integral to their leadership style. Recipients will be chosen based on the depth and significance of their service careers, with particular attention given to their most impactful service experiences.

The nomination process is open to faculty, staff, students, and community members. Those interested in nominating a student must submit a letter that addresses the award’s purpose and criteria by February 11, 2026. Nominated students will then be asked by the Division of Volunteer Efforts to provide an essay detailing their philosophy of service and a resume by February 18.

Selected nominees will participate in interviews with the Selection Committee during the week of March 9. These interviews will focus on candidates’ dedication to service and personal growth through their experiences. Final award recipients will be notified after all interviews are completed.

The awards ceremony honoring this year’s recipients is scheduled for April 14, 2026.
