Seton Hall University has announced that users of the Duo Mobile app must update to the latest version by February 2, 2026, to continue receiving Duo Push notifications for two-factor authentication. The university warns that devices running older versions of the app may face issues with push notifications if not updated.

The update is required due to changes in how Duo Push notifications are delivered. Users who have already replaced their phones or use an updated version of Duo Mobile may not need to take further action. However, all users are encouraged to review their Duo settings and remove any outdated or unused devices to prevent future problems.

Step-by-step instructions for managing settings, enrolling a new phone, or changing authentication methods can be found in the knowledgebase articles or through the Duo 2FA app on PirateNet. For those unable to update the app or needing assistance with device management or login issues, support is available from the Technology Service Desk.
