Madison-based Stephen Gould, a major independent supply chain solutions provider in the United States, has appointed Justin Golden as its new chief executive officer. The appointment is effective immediately and marks the continuation of family leadership into its third generation. Justin Golden succeeds his father, Michael Golden, who will now serve as strategic advisor and chairman of the board.
“Stephen Gould’s success has long been rooted in principled leadership and a clear sense of purpose,” said Michael Golden. “Justin has played a critical role in expanding our global footprint, deepening client relationships, and investing in talent and operational excellence. We are confident he is the right leader to assume the role of CEO and lead the business forward in sophisticated ways.”
“I’m honored to step into the role of CEO of Stephen Gould, a company that has defined my life and the lives of so many others,” said Justin Golden. “Stephen Gould has achieved its success because of the trust we’ve built and the services we’ve delivered over three generations. Looking ahead, we will build on this legacy, driving sustainable growth, expanding our capabilities, and executing with discipline. I am excited that together—collaborating alongside the team here and our partners across the globe—we have the chance to define the future of packaging and supply chain solutions in the decades to come.”
Founded in 1939 on Manhattan’s Lower East Side as a small packaging supply business, Stephen Gould has developed into an international company providing packaging, design, and supply-chain solutions while remaining under family ownership for three generations. The company currently operates more than 40 offices worldwide with annual revenue reaching about $950 million in 2025.
Justin Golden previously held the position of president for global packaging, design, and supply-chain solutions at Stephen Gould since 2016. During his tenure he contributed to connecting the company’s history with its strategic plans by focusing on growth initiatives and organizational culture development. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and is involved with charitable organizations such as The RIVER Fund.
